Wall Table Kitchen Desk Console Made With Reclaimed Timber And Pallet Wood
Wooden wall table kitchen table desk hallway console table made with reclaimed timber and pallet wood.
Size: W88cm x D34cm x H80cm approx.
I made this table using reclaimed timber I found in a market and pallet wood for the legs.
I sanded the timber down extensively and cut it to size. I then assembled the table using glue and screws, which I covered with wooden nails.
I then stained the legs with handmade walnut stain to match the old timber and gave it 2 coats of bees wax to protect it.
I drilled 2 holes at the back of the table for wall fixing and will provide 2 stained wooden nails to cover the screws.
The table shows plenty of signs of wear and tear being the timber so old and it has a few irregularities, which are to be expected when using reclaimed wood, but I think this only adds to its character.
The timber I used for the top of the table also showed signs of old woodworm. It didn't seem to be affected by it anymore nevertheless I decided to treat it extensively for woodworm to avoid any further occurrence.
I think this table/desk/console can be a great solution for small rooms, either as a desk, a kitchen table to provide extra worktop space or also as a hallway console table.
