Small Table With Shelf Kitchen Bathroom Lounge Made With Pallet Wood
Rustic small table with shelf made with pallet wood.
Size: W59cm x D50cm x H74 approx.
I made this rustic table using wood from 2 pallets.
One of the pallets had the slabs assembled close to each other. I therefore cut it to size without the need to dismantle it and used it to create the top of the table.
I then dismantled the other pallet and cut the timber to size and sanded it down extensively to give it a smooth finish.
I then put the table and the shelf together using glue and screws, which I covered with wooden nails.
I gave the table 2 coats of light handmade walnut stain and then gave it all 2 coats of bees wax to protect it.
The shelf at the bottom is ideal for storage, while the top is large enough to accommodate a variety of uses.
The table shows many signs of wear and tear (since the wood is from a pallet) and the occasional rusted nail here and there but I think this only adds to its character.
I think that because of its size this table can easily be used in the kitchen or the bathroom but also as a larger side table in any other room.
