Ladder Bookshelves Made With Pallet Wood And Vintage Barrel Taps
Wooden ladder bookshelves made with pallet wood and vintage wooden barrel taps.
Size: W100cm x D20cm (including taps) x H30cm approx.
I made this ladder bookshelves using wood from a reclaimed pallet and wooden taps from vintage barrels.
After I cut the timber to size I assembled the ladder using glue and screws, which I covered with wooden nails.
I then cut the taps to size and fixed them onto the ladder.
I gave both the bookshelves and the taps one coat of handmade walnut stain and 2 coats of bees wax to protect it.
In order to achieve the right depth to accommodate books I added 2 brackets at the top for wall fixing and 2 dowels the same length of the brackets at the bottom.
This ladder bookshelves not only provide useful books storage but also function as a practical coat hanger.
I think these bookshelves would be particularly suited for the hallway but would also add a touch of rustic quirkiness to any room.
THIS LADDER IS PURELY DECORATIVE AND NOT FOR CLIMBING ON.
